Royals Draw Daggers
Reading have been handed a tricky away tie at League Two Dagenham And Redbridge in the Carling Cup 1st round. The Royals exited last seasons competition in round 3 following a superb hat-trick from Fernando Torres and now face a rather humbling trip to east London.
This will be the first time Reading have ever played Dagenham, who have finished 20th in their last two seasons in League Two.
The Royals have previously been handed a bye to the 2nd round due to their top-flight status, but will have to start from the beginning this time round.
The game will take place at Dagenham`s Victoria Road on the week commencing August 11th.
