Steve Coppell has revealed that Reading winger Jimmy Kebe has made good progress in pre-season.
Kebe didn`t make the best of strats to his Reading career and has started just one league came since his arrival in January.
It now looks however, as though the Malian international has adapted to life in England and will be raring to go come Sunday.
Kebe has notched two goals in pre-season and has stood out as one of the best performers throughout the preparation for the new season.
With a lot of Royals fans already doubting Kebe`s ability, it will be a huge boost for both him and Coppell if he is able to make an instant impact this season.
Coppell said: 'As pre-season has gone on he`s enjoyed being on the right more and more and grown in confidence.
'He`s felt more comfortable with the players as well. It`s a new country for him and it`s hard to adapt, not just in football but in life off the pitch as well.
'He`s a gentle bloke but gradually he`s been becoming more and more part of it.'
Good news for Reading fans, but it will take a lot for Kebe to fill the void left behind by Glen Little, arguably Reading`s best winger of all time.
