Shorey Having Medical at Villa

Aston Villa and Reading have agreed on a fee for full-back Nicky Shorey and the England international is now having a medical at Villa park.

Speculation has gone into overdrive this week regarding Shorey's future and it now looks like he will be a Villa player by the end of the day.

Aston Villa's official site has confirmed that an offer has been accepted and it seems the move is now just a formality.

Will be glad when this finally goes through. He's been a great player for us, but time to move on. Hopefully we can get a replacment sorted before the forest game.

Mmm. I'll be very pleased if a replacement is named tomorrow, I'm not so sure it's going to happen. We possibly should have let Shorey go a year ago, but then again we couldn't have predicited that he'd have such a bad season!!

Cheers Villa fans. DOn't know if you're just being nice but we seem to be quite popular amongst opposition fans, portsmouth seem to quite like us too, funny that considering they effectively sent us down :(
LoyalyRoyaly
Thanks boys. You've got two of our record breakers now, hope they do well for you.

Well you seem like a decent enough bunch and you've got great manager. Do us a favour though, go easy on Small Heath, I'd like to see them back in the prem with you, just for a laugh like.

Shorey is highly regarded by many fans in the premier league, including myself. He'll be a superb signing for the Villa!
