Lita Has Ankle Op

Reading striker Leroy Lita been under the surgeon's knife to have screws put in to his ankle after he suffered a fracture at Burnley last week.

After having a scan this morning a quick course of action was taken and the operation seems to have gone without any problems.

Physio Jon Fearn told the club's official website, 'Leroy's had the operation now, he went in this morning, the fracture was OK but not quite as good as we wanted it to be.

'We felt we wanted to make sure the bone heals as best as possible within the timeframe we have.

'He has had two screws put into the site of the fracture to hold the bones together. He'll be out tonight or tomorrow morning.”

I hope he's back playing as soon as possible, he's great to watch and I think he has the potential to play for England... I'd certainly pick him in front of Peter Crouch already!

definately better than crouch, lets just hope that he can make a complete recovery from this injury.

He's very young and looks pretty healthy! I can't see him having too many troubles recovering, as long as the surgeon hasn't botched the operation. I look forward to seeing Lita in the premiership - I think he can easily be as prolific as Roberts has been for Wigan.
