Doyle wins Championship Fans' Award
In the Championship, the fans` favourite is Reading striker Kevin Doyle who continues to show why manager Steve Coppell rates him so highly - and why the Royals were so keen to tie him down to the new, longer contract he signed recently.
PFA Deputy Chief Executive, Mick McGuire says of the Republic of Ireland international: "Kevin was signed for the princely sum of £75,000 and what a bargain he has turned out to be.
An outstanding striker, he has already scored 15 goals this season in assisting Reading`s quest to return to the Premier League.
He is undoubtably a striker of Premiership quality; his movement is superb, showing both pace and imagination in getting behind defenders. Also, his goalscoring ability is without question."
The full list of winners is:
Premier League
Cristiano Ronaldo - Manchester United
Championship
Kevin Doyle - Reading
League One
Fabian Delph - Leeds United
League Two
Jamie Ward - Chesterfield
The four divisional winners were recognised by football fans across the country, who voted on the PFA`s website givemefootball.com, as the best players in their division during November 2008. Four fans who voted for the winning players will be chosen to go to a match and present the trophy to the player. The winners will be chosen at random and will be announced later in the month.
