Adam Federici has extended his Reading contract.
The 'keeper, who would've been out of contract in the summer, has signed a new deal to take him through until the summer 2011 and now he is targeting the number one spot: 'Hopefully, in the long run I can be number one here,' Federici told the official website.
The 23-year-old, who had a successful loan with Southend earlier in the season, replaced injured 'keeper Marcus Hahnemann during the week and will start against Norwich today, and director of football Nick Hammond knows this gives him the chance to establish himself, adding: 'With Marcus' unfortunate injury Adam has the chance to establish himself in the team, which has always been his number one target while he has been here'
