Reading In The Broadsheets

Reading have attracted the attentions of the broadsheet newspapers all season long with being runaway leaders of the Championship, here is what some papers had to say about us after yesterday’s promotion.

The Telegraph

Leicester (1) 1 Reading (0) 1

Nevertheless joy was unconfined among their 3,000 travelling fans yesterday when the Premiership prize was clinched.

IT WASN’T quite the swashbuckling manner in which they wanted to do it, with Kevin Doyle’s late equaliser being assisted by sloppy performances from Leeds United and Millwall, but no matter. Yesterday’s draw with a belligerent Leicester City could have been an anti-climax, but afterwards the visiting players danced themselves dizzy in front of their dazzled 3,000 travelling supporters.
