Coppell Praises Heroes

Coppell Praises Heroes

Reading manager Steve Coppell paid tribute to the players that had got Reading into the Premiership with such class and style after yesterday’s game.

Reading didn’t have to pull out all the stops to beat Leicester for the second time this season, just being in third gear and getting a draw was enough and the lads didn’t really need to do that.

After the game Coppell spoke of the ‘warm feeling inside’ and praised his side.
Coppell said: 'This has been dream-like in many ways, but a dream based on hard work and players of tremendous ability.

'They're a small squad who give everything for the club and we've had a tremendous year.

'We knew results were going our way, but we wanted a decent result and just being there is a warm feeling inside.

'To be honest, we have been looking at next season for about a month so now the work will begin in earnest on Monday. Our last game of last season we were at Wigan Athletic when they were celebrating. Now it's our turn.'
