After getting the Royals promoted to the Premiership in record time, Steve Coppell is the man who can bring more glory to the Madejski Stadium according to striker Dave Kitson.
It’s been a record breaking season for the Royals including beating Liverpool’s record for going unbeaten in the second flight.
Now Reading could go on and set a new points record for the league before the season his finished, and that’s before they start on next season.
'We want to go on and win the Championship. And after that I think we go into the Premiership in good shape and with the best manager to cope with the situation,' said Kitson.
'Steve is very methodical and leaves nothing to chance and that's exactly what we're going to need.
'He's spurred the team on to numerous records and achievements this season and it could hopefully be the start of many more in the history of Reading Football Club.'
