'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Yet another dull Stephen Hunt story

It was his first day doing what he loves best, getting out on the training field, and Brendan Rodgers should have been telling the gathered press about his fantastic new ideas for the club.

Instead he was left to answer questions on the inpending departure of Stephen Hunt. God I wish this guy would just hurry up and go as the endless stories of him going are really doing my head in.

Latest news is he is expected to depart to a Premier League club but he is still here at the moment, and acting just like a model pro. Its been the same for the past 2 years hasn't it?

Rodgers told Sky Sports News, 'Stephen has made it clear that he is looking to go and he is not crying and he is not walking in here with the hump every day.'

'He is a good man and he can play in the Premier League, there is no question about that, and obviously with the interest that there has been in him that is something he will look to do.'

'But it is nothing new it's not something that has solely happened since I have come through the door. Stephen has made it clear for the past six months to a year that he would like to move on.'

'What I know is that I respect him since I have been here and his work has been fantastic so there should be no hangover for him.

'He's made it public he would want to go which is fine, there is no problem with that but when he's a Reading playing he will continue to give his best because that's the type of character he is.

'We just need to see what develops but he is working well and I've not got a problem with him.'

That kit he's got on looks a lot like ours at Colchester...good luck in keeping him!

Not a lot of Reading fans want him to stay!

nothing worse than long drawn out transfer saga's. Well, ok, maybe a kick in the unmentionables is just slightly worse but you get my drift.
