Rodgers has had his squad together at Hogwood since last Monday and he will give most, if not all, of them a run out at Loop Meadow on Wednesday night.
The only two players unlikely to feature are Noel Hunt and Ivar Ingimarsson who are still recovering from injuries sustained last season, although both are unlikely to miss much of the new season when it kicks off at home to Notts Forest on Saturday 8th August.
Kick off at Loop Meadow is 7.30pm and Didcot would like to bring the following to the attention of travelling fans on Wednesday evening due the bumper crown expected -
The extra interest this Wednesday will be the appearance of Royals' new boss Brendon Rodgers, and he's expected to bring the full First Team squad with him to play us. As a result we've had lots of interest, from Reading supporters in particular and we're looking forward to a crowd possibly in excess of 1500. For that reason we ask that supporters of both clubs arrive early to the ground because car-parking is limited and congestion likely. Ideally visiting fans will make use of public transport, the train in particular, as we are just 5 minutes walk from Didcot Parkway and there are plenty of trains from Didcot back to Reading after 10pm.
Tickets will be on sale on the day, £8 for adults, £4 concessions and £2 for under 16's.
