Royals fans want Ingimarsson as captain

With Brendan Rodgers set to decide on his new captain this week you, the users of Vital Reading, have voted in favour of Ivar Ingimarsson to take the armband.

Ingimarsson took a whopping 46% of the votes with Alex Pearce taking 27%. The other options were certainly not popular, Brunjar Gunnarsson taking just 13%, despite wearing the armband a number of times in preseason, with James Harper not even making double figures (8%). 6% of you didn't want any of those, quite who you did want is beyond me!

The only flaw in the plan to give it to Ingimarsson, is the fact he is still injured and is doubtful to play before September at the earliest. How wise would it be to go into the season without our club captain?

Keep it right here to find out who does get the armband - Rodgers will decide this week before Saturdays game.
