Murty signs for Southampton

Former club captain, and Reading legend, Murty has been training with the Saints throughout the summer and has agreed to join on a one year deal at St Mary's.

He will join up with former Reading manager Alan Pardew, who joined the South Coast club following their well documented takeover. He took over from Mark Wotte who was sacked just 24 hours after the takeover was confirmed.
