'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Rodgers full of praise for Davies

After Saturdays game against Nottingham Forest many fans were left excited at the performances of some of our younger players, not least midfielder Scott Davies.

Infact he was voted Vital Reading's official Man of the Match for his fantastic all round midfield display and it would appear that we are not the only ones to have noticed how well he did!

On Monday Brendan Rodgers told the official site how delighted he was with Davies, 'He was outstanding. He has a great quality about him and has done very well. He has got great running ability, wonderful technique and is tactically learning and improving his game. He is a very exciting prospect, and I believe the spectators have already taken to him.

'In the modern game, all the good sides have a player who sits in behind the front two and scores goals, and Scott can do that for us.

Davies really looks an outstanding talent and you would hve noticed in our match preview we also tipped him as the player to watch!
