Barnsley at home in round 2

The draw for the 2nd round of the Carling Cup was made on Wednesday night, and following our convincing win over Burton Albion, we will face much tougher opposition this time around.

However we will still be at home, this time to Championship rivals Barnsley who make the long trip South.

The game will be played on the week commencing 24th August, meaning we will face the Tykes twice in a week with a league trip to Oakwell already scheduled in for Saturday 29th August.

Our last meeting with the Yorkshire club was back in April when we drew 0-0 at the Madejski Stadium, a game that saw Noel Hunt break his foot.
