Late transfer drama involving James Harper?

With the transfer deadline slamming shut at 5pm on Tuesday, I, like many other Reading fans thought the signing of Darren O'Dea was the only signing we had made but late on Tuesdays evening rumours are still doing the rounds that we have swapped James Harper for Brian Howard with Sheffield United.

There has been no official confirmation from either club, but apparantly Harper has spoken to Radio Sheffield speaking about the move, and Sky Sports seem to think the deal is done and just waiting approval from the FA.

As soon as we get any further news on this we will bring it to you....

Yes Harper was indeed on Radio Sheffield speaking about the move, he has ocme on loan for the season and Howard has gone the opposite way. Looks like we'll be getting him permanently though.
