We are 12 games in, over a quarter of the way through the league season, and we sit just one place above the relegation zone. We all knew this season was going to be a transition year, and the realist's didn't think we would be challenging for a top 2 spot as we did last season but there were not too many that thought we didn't have to comfortably finish in mid table.
And I include Brendan Rodgers in that, who said himself at the start of the season he could get this side around the play offs and that was before he was allowed to bring in his own players - the likes of Rasiak and McAnuff.
Now I certainly haven't lost faith in our manager, and I think its fair to say that Sir John Madejski won't have done either, but how much longer can we give him if things don't turn around soon.
We face a tough trip to QPR on Tuesday, who have just beaten Preston 4-0, and then its back the Madejski Stadium where we haven't won since January. Results need to start changing quickly or else we will find ourselves facing up to the reality of a relegation scrap.
Reading don't lose faith in managers quickly but this season is starting to remind me of the 1997/98 season when we were all but relegated when we finally decided to part company with Terry Bullivant. Like Rodgers, Bullivant was a highly regarded coach with limited managerial experience when he took over at Elm Park.
Have you lost faith in Rodgers, or do you think he can turn it round?
