Rodgers understands fans feelings

After another poor result on Tuesday night against QPR, certain sections of the Royals travelling support turned on Brendan Rodgers with chants of 'Rodgers out' and 'your getting sacked in the morning'. The Reading manager didn't even set foot onto the pitch after the game and chose to applaud the fans from the safety of the dugout.

Rodgers told Readingfc.co.uk, 'Every manager wants to be supported by the fans and tonight will be very disappointing for them. I can understand how our supporters feel.'

He went on to acknowledge that it was only certain fans who were against him and classified those as fans who want the Premier League right now.

'I'm sure our supporters are split, they can see the problems, they want to support the club and most know it will take a bit of time. There are others that want the Premier League now - thats the reality of it.'

Rodgers will no doubt turn his attentions straight to the next game against Leicester on Monday, in a game live on Sky. With an unsettled side, no firepower and now our captain suspended it is hard to see that home hoodoo ending just yet.
