Hunt ruled out for season

Hunt has been constantly troubled by injuries throughout his Reading career and has already missed parts of this season with his troublesome knee. The injury flared up again after his appearance for the Republic of Ireland 2 weeks ago and following surgery, he will play no further part this season.

The news will come as a major blow to manager Brendan Rodgers who is left with a side that can do everything but put the ball in the back of the net, and only three fit strikers available for selection.

He could now be forced into the loan market but with no obvious names available to sort out our goalscoring problems, he may well opt to recall Dave Mooney or Nicholas Bignall from loan spells to bolster the attacking options.

How big a blow is Hunt's injury? Who would you get in on loan? Or would you recall Mooney or Bignall? Let us know in the comments section below.
