Rosenior CAN play on Saturday

Rosenior joined Ipswich on transfer deadline day on a season long loan deal, but with the right back out of contract in the summer he is likely to have played his last game for the Royals.

Even so it is surprising that there was no clause put in the deal to stop him playing in the games between the sides in the coming season. However useless a player is, it is rare that a deal is not put in to stop him playing against his parent club! You only need to look what happened down at Plymouth earlier this season when they loaned Marcel Siep to Blackpool and allowed him to play against them, only for him to score in the game.

It appears the reason behind this though, is because the deal was meant to be a permanent one but Rosenior changed his mind at the last minute to assess his options come the end of this current season, where he could pick what club he wanted to go to. With the terms of the deal changing so late, the Royals did not want to jeopordise the loan agreement as they wanted him off the wage bill and therefore didn't put any clause in.
