Dowie latest name linked with Royals job

Dowie latest name linked with Royals job

The Sun newspaper is linking former Oldham, Crystal Palace, Charlton and Coventry manager Iain Dowie with the Royals top job.

Dowie has been out of work since he assisted Alan Shearer at Newcastle last season, a spell which saw them relegated.

Dowie has filled his spare time, as he does between every job, working for every TV station going. A regular on Sky Sports and the BBC, he has also worked for Setanta and ITV and is a proper media whore!!

Despite some unsuccesful spells at Charlton and Coventry, he was the man who took Palace from the relegation zone to the Premier League in the space of just six months and could be the experienced man the Royals need right now.

He is apparantly top of Sir John Madejski's wish list and is very interested in taking the reigns at the Mad Stad.
