Anfield tie set to go ahead

With the freezing weather sweeping the country slightly easing following a weekend full of postponed games, the Royals third round replay with Liverpool is set to go ahead on Wednesday night.

The Reds game against Spurs was postponed on Sunday because of safety concerns on the roads surrounding Anfield but with the temperature's rising slightly, there appears to be no doubt over the game.

That will be news to the ears of ITV, who have selected the game to show live with a 7.45pm kick off.

Liverpool have been rocked after Tom Hicks Jr resigned from the board of directors following an angry email exchange with a fan over the clubs current state of affairs.

The Royals will be hoping to cash in on the uncertainty surrounding the club to cause a massive cup upset.
