'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Stop treating fans like idiots!

Sir John Madejski is looking to sell Reading Football Club and I`m pretty sure his next move is already lined up - he is going to be the a spin doctor! Some of the comments about the appointment of McDermott are frankly just laughable.

He began telling journalist`s that it was important to give McDermott the time to prove himself at the club and the oppurtunity to move the club forward. According to him he 'has taken that with both hands`! Now don`t get be wrong this is no attack on McDermott`s record in charge so far but to say that after 5 league games without a win, including hammerings at Plymouth and Sheffield United is completely wrong. Ok, the cup wins are terrific but we are second bottom of the table, who cares where we get to in the cup if we are relegated?

He then goes on to defend his league record by saying that he has ben unlucky to have had 4 of his 5 games away from home. Perhaps Madejski has not sat through the awful period at home that has seen us win just once in the league in a year, its not like we have been unstoppable on our own patch.

He finished by saying that he is sure the fans and the club are pulling in the same direction. Well it certainly doesn`t look like it at the minute, I for one want to see us climbing up the table and fighting for promotion back to the Premier League. If the past 18 months is anything to go by, the club are pulling in the opposite direction.

As I said this is no attack on McDermott`s appointment, I`m just sick of being treated like an idiot by Madejski.
