'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Mummy's Boy

On loan Chelsea left back Ryan Bertrand scored his first ever professional goal on Wednesday night, and dedicated to his mum who spen her Birthday at the Mad Stad watching her son!

He told the Official Site after the game, 'It's my Mum's birthday, she was here so she will be delighted. I pointed to the stands but I didn't know where she was sitting. That was for her though!'

He also joked about his own goal earlier in the season against Liverpool, 'The goal takes me up to zero now, if you count the own goal at Liverpool. I've got to get another one now!'

Bertrand continued his fine run of form with a sterling performance against the Rams, and he is the subject of the current poll on Vital Reading - Which loanee would you most like to keep? VOTE NOW
