Breen A Target?

According to the local Newcastle press, Reading manager Steve Coppell is being linked with a move for Sunderland centre back, Gary Breen.

Probably only speculation as every player that is being released by a club is being linked with Reading at the moment.

Sunderland will not be renewing Breen’s contract when it runs out in the summer.

Reports are that Coppell is looking to strengthen his backline ready for the Premiership season ahead and Breen fits the bill.

Should this be true, Breen will be able to come to the Madejski Stadium on a free transfer.

Gary Breen has been linked to quite a few clubs. But after last summers signings if he is rated by Steve Coppell he must be OK.

Lomas gone, Birch going, *Shittu & Cook (the good ones) are staying. Bet Sonko can't wait to line up alongside Breen or Joelen Lescott at £4.5million...
