Royals mathmatically safe!
Whilst many are still looking hopefully at the Royals prospects of gatecrashing the play offs, after yesterdays draw with Cardiff it was confirmed that we are mathmatically safe!
Whilst that might now seem like a negative way to look at things, when you consider that we were in 23rd position after a 3-0 defeat at Sheffield United in January, it shows how far we have come in such a short space of time.
A run of 10 wins in 15 games since then, and only 1 defeat in the same period, has seen us rise to comfortable mid table with an outside change of the play offs due the two games in hand we have.
Credit must go to Brian McDermott who has turned a team that looked like relegation certainties under Brendan Rodgers, to one of the best teams in the division in the past couple of months.
There is a buzz around the Madejski Stadium oncemore and I cannot wait for next season, well unless we do get in the play offs and promoted! I don't fancy a relegation battle!
