Sigurdsson commited to Royals

Player of the season, in waiting, Gylfi Sigurdsson has been linked with several clubs after his fantastic form on his debut season for the Royals after coming through the clubs academy. The likes of PSV Eindhoven and Wolves are set to be casting an eye over the Icelandic youngster but he wants to help the club secure promotion next season.

He told the Reading Post, "I`ve got a contract here for another two years and we`ve got a great chance to push on and get into the Premier League next season. I`m happy here, I`m playing every week. I`m feeling good, the first couple of months I was pretty tired after each game, but I`m fine now.'

Whilst that is clearly good news for Royals fans, it doesn't make any difference if Sir John Madejski decides he wants to sell some of the clubs assets to balance the books, I've got the feeling its going to be a long summer again.
