McDermott - 'I'm not suited to Dubai!'

You would have forgiven Brian McDermott for telling us all he was off on a long summer holiday, soaking up the sunshine and just chilling out! However when your a manager as disciplined as McDermott, sunshine holidays are not what it is all about and he is more interested in heading North of the border to watch a game on Wednesday evening!

He told the Official Site after the win over Preston, 'First of all I'm off home to have a drink with my family, then Tuesday we have a board meeting before I head off on Wednesday to watch a game in Scotland.'

When he was quizzed over his holiday plans he assured fans he would not be jet setting all over the world in search of some summer sun, instead he is off to Cornwall!

'I will play golf badly in Cornwall and then I'm going to Kevin Doyle's wedding. I think I'm supposed to organise something else because they say you need a rest - but I'm not suited to a place like Dubai!'

Well whatever he does, he certainly deserves a holiday after transforming our season and giving all fans genuine hope that we could achieve something next season.
