'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Sig happy to stay....for now!

Royals fans were delighted to hear that Gylfi Sigurdsson signed a new contract on Friday, and the Icelandic midfielder was too. However his comments after the singing the deal are slightly worrying, as he thinks this place is the place to be for next year at least. Hang on a minute didn't you just sign a three year deal?!

He told the Reading Chronicle, 'I am playing every week and I am happy to stay for at least another year. I signed a new contract just a few months ago, and having been offered a new contract again now, I'd be stupid to go elsewhere.'

Maybe I am making too much out of one word, and Sigurdsson's commitment cannot be questioned yet so I will put it down inexperience with the media! And if we get promoted this coming season then he will have nothing to worry about!!
