Aussie's lose final friendly

Federici missed out on a place in the starting 11 to the regular number 1 Mark Schwarzer who was picking the ball out of the back of the net after just 4 minutes. Edson Buddle's strike from 15 yards beating the Fulham keeper.

Tim Cahill equalised for the Aussie's but before the interval the USA lead again with Buddle scoring his second.

Federici sat on the bench for the whole game and was left to sit and watch the American's score a third in stoppage time.

Former Royal Marcus Hahnemann did feature in the game though as a half time sub for USA and he kept a clean sheet in the second period, doing his chances of featuring against Englan next Saturday no harm at all.
