Upson inspires England

I think the main reason England qualified for the latter stages of the World Cup on Wednesday was because of Reading FC!

Ok, maybe not, but Matthew Upson's impact on the England team after stepping in for Jamie Carragher cannot be under estimated. He was superb alongside John Terry and made a critical late tackle as we kept another clean sheet.

Upson must surely owe it all to that 3 month loan spell at the Madejski Stadium, when Alan Pardew can take some credit for turing the Arsenal reserve's career around!

We will be hoping he keeps his place against Germany on Sunday. C'mon England and C'mon Matty Upson!
