Squad back on Thursday

With their summer holidays just a distant memory, the Royals first team squad will return for pre season training on Thursday at Hogwood. They will face 2 days of fitness testing with Physio Karl Halabi before the real stuff begins in earnest on Monday morning!

The only signing of the summer so far, Marcus Williams, will meet up with his new teams mates.

Brian McDermott will be back from his UEFA Pro License course to take the squad on Monday, but will miss the first two days. Another notable absentee will be goalkeeper Adam Federici who has only just returned from World Cup duty with Australia and is set to be given a few more weeks off.

The Royals play their first pre season game on Saturday July 10th at Farnborough before heading off to Slovenia for three games on tour. Back in the UK, we will then face Wycombe, Wolves and Southampton before the season kicks off for real on August 7th against Scunthorpe.
