Cisse set for Bristol City

Former Royals manager Steve Coppell, now in charge at Ashton Gate, was the man who brought Cisse to the Madejski Stadium in the summer of 2007 for 650,000 and the two are now on the verge of being reunited.

City have bid 500,000 for the Mali international, who will now travel to Bristol to negotiate personnal terms and complete a medical.

The Robins have seen the best of Cisse with a wonder goal in a 4-1 win 2 season's ago, and another commanding performance at Ashton Gate last season.

However these performances have been few and far between, and he has failed to nail down a place in the Royals starting 11 on a regular basis.

Whilst Brian McDermott is unlikely to see too much of the money generated, it is a good move for the club and free's up some much needed space on the wage bill.
