Bertrand joins Forest

Ryan Bertrand spent the whole of last season on loan at the Madejski Stadium, putting in some fantastic displays and coming third in the clubs official player of the season award. He has been regularly tipped as the 'next Ashley Cole', which I am sure refers to what he can do on the pitch, not off it!

With the Royals snapping up Marcus Williams, Bertrand has opted for a move to Nottingham Forest on a 6 month loan deal until January.

He could make a very quick return to the Mad Stad as Forest visit on Saturday 21st August. He is sure to recieve a great reception from the home fans if he does play.

Bertrand is also in the latest England under 21 squad, alongside Royals keeper Alex McCarthy.

Good luck to Bertie at Forest, a very popular player last season.
