McDermott - 'We don't have any cash'

Brian McDermott has thrown water on the fire of those fans who still hope for new signings before the close of the transfer window by insisting there will be no new arrivials. When asked by TalkSport what the situation was with our transfer dealings and insisted there would be no arrivials, but players could still leave.


Speaking to the Radio stadion after the game he said, 'We haven't got the funds to do any business in, there'll be nothing coming in, and as far as outs, it's a possibility as regards certain players, but I want to keep the players in the squad, as many as I possibly can.'


With Matt Mills no injured and Ivar Ingimarsson still not fit we are desperate for a new centre half but it now looks as if we will have to do without. The club keep talking about the academy prospects, lets hope we have a few decent centre halves in their because they are going to be needed.
