Zurab is back!

Kizhanishvili spent three months at the club last season on loan and formed an excellent partnership at the back alongside Matt Mills, in the absence of Ivar Ingimarsson.

There has been talk of a return after he was told he had no future at Blackburn, and the sale of Gylfi Sigurdsson has freed up enough funds to complete the signing, on a season long loan deal.

Our defence has been desperatly short on numbers so far this season, and the signing of Kizhanishvili will bolster the options available to Brian McDermott.

Surely the former Rangers defender will go straight into the side for the game against Crystal Palace on 11th September. He will now head to join up with his Georgian international team mates ahead of the international break.

Welcome back Zurab, hope your stay is as successful as last season.
