'If It's Football, It's Vital'

International Round up

Firstly goalkeeper Adam Federici won his second cap for Australia, as they Aussies opted to rest regular number 1 Mark Schwarzer. The Royals keeper did not disappoint as he turned in a man of the match display, including a penalty save in a 2-1 win over Poland.

Meanwhile Zurab Kizhanishvili played the whole game as Georgia drew 0-0 with Israel. Shane Long was a sub for Ireland as they beat Andorra 3-1, a game that Kevin Doyle scored in.

In the under 21's, Hal Robson Kanu, Jake Taylor and Simon Church were narrowly defeated by Italy and missed out on a place in the Under 21 championship on a head to head record with the Italians. Even then they only lost on away goals after winning the reverse fixture 2-1, and had a better goal difference.
