Williams to join Peterborough

Royals left back Marcus Williams, who has not played for the first team since August, is set to join League One side Peterborough on loan for a month.

Williams was signed from Scunthorpe in the summer and started the season as first choice left back, but the signing of Ian Harte and the return to fitness of Chris Armstrong has seen him drop down the pecking order at the Madejski Stadium.

He will join up with Gary Johnson's side ahead of the weekend game against Charlton, and is set to go straight into the starting line up.
