Show me the money

Brian McDermott is preparing for Saturdays encounter with Coventry but at the back of his mind is a meeting with the board about available transfer funds for the upcoming January transfer window.

After selling Gylfi Sigurdsson on the final day of the last window, he only had time to bring in Ian Harte and Zurab Kizhanishvili (Loan) and will be looking to spend some of those funds on a new striker.

Whilst it is clear that not much of the money received will be re-invested, McDermott will hope for at least enough to bolster his attacking options ahead of a play off push.

We were linked with Matty Fryatt before the loan window closed and that interest could be stepped up as the striker is out of favour at Leicester.

Also linked is Dagenham's Romiane Vincelot and French striker Garra Dembele. However McDermott is pleased with what we have right now and could look to make Mikele Leigertwood's loan deal permanent.
