'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Youngster goes Dutch

The Royals have a number of exciting youngsters out on loan right now and Jacob Walcott is the latest to be sent out to gain first team experience. However unlike the others who are scattered amoung lower or non league clubs, Walcott will be heading to Holland where he will join up with Telstar who play in the Dutch second division.

They are managed by former Southampton manager Jan Poortvliet and he will go straight into their squad for Fridays game against FC Eindhoven.

Walcott has also spent time at Staines this season and is gaining valuable first team experience. Brian McDermott was delighted for Walcott to secure suce a move,

'I've got a lot of admiration for Jacob to go over there, he will play games and learn a hell of a lot. It will certainly benefit him and his career and it is a positive move for him.'
