Chambers linked with Royals move

Talksport have reported that Reading could be interested in signing Nottingham Forest defender Luke Chambers, following the depature of captain Matt Mills.

Chambers contract with Forest is due to run out next summer and new boss Steve McClaren may not risk losing him for nothing at the end of his current contract.

The former Northampton Town defender was voted Player of the Season by Forest fans by putting in many fine performances at the City Ground last season.

We reported to you yesterday that Paul McShane was being considered as a potential signing but McDermott could turn to the experienced 25-year old to replace the void left by Mills' departure.
