Royals squad head to Slovenia

The Reading squad jetted off to Ptuj in Slovenia this morning, where they will stay for 10 days as a part of their pre-season tour, which will see the Royals take part in two friendlies.

The first game will be against FC Dravograd on Friday July 15th then we will face Turkish top division side Karabukspor on Tuesday 19th July.

This is bound to give McDermott a better chance to look at his 26-man squad which includes youngsters Jake Taylor and Jordan Obita, following their performances in the 3-2 defeat to Eastleigh.

The squad list is below.

Goalkeepers: Mikkel Andersen, Ben Hamer, Adam Federici, Alex McCarthy

Defenders: Ian Harte, Andy Griffin, Alex Pearce, Sean Morrison, Shaun Cummings, Marcus Williams

Midfield: Jay Tabb, Brynjar Gunnarsson, Mikele Leigertwood, Jem Karacan, Brian Howard, Jimmy Kebe, Jobi McAnuff, Hal Robson-Kanu, Michail Antonio, Jordan Obita, Jake Taylor
