Royals consider Lions captain approach

Brian McDermott is considering making a move for Millwall defender Paul Robinson, in a bid to end his search for a centre-back.

We reported the other day that the Royals were interested in signing Forest defender Wes Morgan but Forest seem unlikely to sell their key defender, so McDermott could move for the Lions captain.

Sky Sports reported him as one of McDermott's targets in this current window and was reported to be watching the 29-year old in action during Millwall's draw with Peterborough.

However, he is still contracted until 2013 with his current club and Kenny Jackett will not want to lose his captain and money could also be hard to come by with Madejski admitting hardly any money is available.

More to come on that later.....
