Noel praises teams initiative

Reading striker Noel Hunt has praised his team mates in how they responded last Saturday against Doncaster, that saw their five game losing streak come to an end.

The 27-year old Irishman started alongside Simon Church in the 2-0 victory, shaking off a back problem he picked up last week that kept him out of the Watford defeat.

The former Dundee striker told the RFC official site: We took it upon ourselves, we took the initiative and went for the ball. It was a totally different team to last week. We knew ourselves what we needed to do after last week.'

Hunt also had reserved praise for his striker partner Simon Church who made his first appearance since his thigh injury and put in a man-of-the-match performance while scoring the first goal at the Madejski Stadium.

'Churchy has the best movement off the ball I've seen in a long time and he's always had it. He got a chance to show it and it really caused them problems.'

The squad will now move to this Saturday's game against Coventry City, who suffered a 3-0 loss to Ipswich last night.
