Injury ends Bignall loan spell

Reading striker Nicholas Bignall has returned back to his parent club after his loan at League One side Wycombe Wanderers was cut short due to injury.

The 21-year old only played 25 minutes for the Chairboys against Charlton last week, where he picked up the injury forcing him back just over a week ago since he signed.

Wycombe manager Gary Waddock told the Bucks Free Press: 'I think he could be out for a little while. I believe he went in for an operation as well this week.

'It's unfortunate for him because he wanted games and we were looking for a centre forward for some time. We wish him well and hopefully he has a speedy recovery.'

Bignall has been shipped out of loan many times by the Royals, including spells at Stockport, Bournemouth and Southampton last season.
