Antonio to return to the Royals

Reading winger Michail Antonio is set to see out his loan spell with League One side Colchester United and return to his parent club after his loan spell runs out.

The 21-year old has enjoyed a very good spell with the Essex club, scoring 4 goals in 14 appearances for John Ward's side, helping them to a solid current 12th place.

John Ward told the GreenUn24: "This Saturday will be Antonio`s last game for us. He`s done very well for us. He has excited the fans with his pace, and he`s also scored a few goals.

He added: "It has been a loan move that I think has helped all parties, and Brian McDermott (Reading manager) now wants him back with them, in and around his squad.'

Reading would also not want Antonio cup-tied in the FA Cup and with Jimmy Kebe's future remaining certain, Antonio could have a bigger role to play at the Madejski Stadium.
