Another win for RFC academy

The Reading academy continued their fine form over the weekend, as they beat Cardiff City academy 2-0, thanks to a brace from England U19 striker Dominic Samuel.

They have been on a great run of form of late, keeping six consecutive clean sheets and 560 minutes without conceding a goal. The attack isn't bad either, having the best goal difference in the division.

Reading FC women earned a credible 1-1 draw at home to Charlton this past weekend. Nikki Watts was again on the score sheet for the Royals.

In other news, it is expected that Brian Howard will leave Reading in January, with Millwall his likely destination away. More to come on that story tomorrow.....
