Vital Reading player of the month

Vital Reading October player of the month award has gone to defender Kaspars Gorkss, after some fine performances for the Royals at the back.

The Latvian captain has been an ever present since signing from QPR in January, helping Reading keep three cleansheets and just conceding three goals all month.

Other contenders were Adam Le Fondre who got a fantastic brace against Derby and also defender Alex Pearce, who has put in some fine performances alongside Gorkss, catching the eye of Ireland boss Giovanni Trappatoni.

Reading outclassed by Preston

Reading's last home game of the season ended with defeat and made it 3 home defeats in a row.

Preston came to the Mad Stad and simply were the better side and should've won by more.
