Antonio raring to go

Reading midfielder Michail Antonio he is returning to the Royals on a high and is very much looking forward to the prospect of fighting for a place in the Reading team.

The 21-year has spent the last 3 months on loan at League One outfit Colchester United, where he managed to make 16 appearances and score a credible four goals in that period.

The pacy winger told the official RFC site: 'I've gone out on loan and played 16 games I feel I'm ready, I feel like if I get the opportunity to play I could do something for this team.'

'At the start of the season I wasn't even in the squad because they changed it from seven to five players on the bench, and that hit my confidence. I believed in my ability, I felt that I was good enough to play for Reading, but I felt like my confidence wasn't there.

Since signing from Tooting and Mitcham in 2008, Antonio has made a decent step up from the third tier of the conference having already made 22 appearances in a Royals shirt, scoring a goal last season in our 4-0 win over Burnley.
