A 55th minute Calum McManaman goal secured Blackpool's first win in four at the expense of Brian McDermott's Reading, who failed to extend their two game winning streak.
The Royals had the better of the first half with Adam Le Fondre having a good chance and a goal being ruled out, when replays show otherwise.
